Stockholm Surrender review

I have just had a wonderful review in for Stockholm Surrender. This book has been a slow burner in terms of feedback, which can be a little nail-biting wondering what people think of it, but clearly, for this reader, it hit the spot and I couldn't be happier.

Stockholm Surrender by Lily Harlem is a wonderful, fast-paced, gripping, story of forbidden love.

Penny’s father is the British foreign minister, which puts their family in the spotlight. This time it has put Penny in danger when a desperate man decides to use her as leverage. After being kidnapped, Penny finds herself feeling things she shouldn’t be feeling.

This is one of the best books I have read in quite a while. I gave it a rating of 5 out of 5, and would have given it more if I could. I was completely hooked from the very beginning. Since I didn’t get the opportunity to read this one in one sitting, that meant I had to put it down a couple of times for sleep and work. When I wasn’t reading it, I was constantly thinking about it, and dying to get back to it.

This is a follow-up to Ms. Harlem’s short story, Stockholm Seduction, which is included as the prologue to this story, in case you have not read it. I loved Penny and Ty, and was tied in knots over their emotional roller coaster. The suspense is really intense and there were times that I actually gasped out loud. The writing is superb and the characters stole my heart.

  3. Congratulations on a most well deserved review. I agree with the reviewer, I still think about the story. And when I think about it, I smile. :)
