Hot Vegas by Harry Blue

Please welcome Harry Blue, author of Hot Vegas - take it away Harry....

Porn is so easily accessible

On the internet these days, I decided that my first erotic book was going to be all about straight, one on one sex. Yes, I could write a book with lots of orgies, swapping, dogging, gay, but for my first foray into this genre I decided to have old fashioned, one couple, having it off in a variety of romantic locations.

Of course, the couple had to be sufficiently mature to know what sex is all about, while still exploring each others’ fantasies as well as anticipating and indulging in giving and receiving the maximum fucking pleasure. I like to think that I have achieved my aim.

When writing Hot Vegas there were various criteria that I wanted to write about. The sex had to be part of the story, not because of the story. That meant that the main couple had to be attractive to the reader, the sex between them had to be what the reader wanted to be able to fantasise about, and the story had to be a thriller with baddies, goodies, and stand-alone if there was no sex. The sex had to be stand-alone if there was no story.

I like to think that with Hot Vegas I have ended up with a good read, sex that makes the male reader have a stalk as he imagines how they are fucking each other, and the female reader get nice and randy just fantasising that it’s she being fucked in all manner of places. And it’s she who’s walking around with no panties, nice and wet as if there’s a tap between her legs, ready to take her man’s big prick in her mouth, swallowing every drop, revelling in the taste, relishing the experience as she bends forward in a lift between floors, dress riding high while he takes her from behind. The doors open so they casually continue in their suite...

The male reader is imagining that it’s him with the huge erection, standing in the shower, soaping the body of a gorgeous woman, water cascading over their bodies as he finds her G-spot with his probing fingers. It’s he who makes her moan with anticipation, she wants him to control her sex, it’s him who lifts her up onto his erection so they fuck as they’re standing up. And it’s he who comes all over her willing tits, milky fluid rubbed into her skin before she slowly uses her fingers to wipe it off, before erotically and provocatively licking her fingers so she doesn’t waste a drop.

Wow, just writing this has given me a stiffy.

The Hot Vegas story involves Prudence and Jeff winning a good sizeable sum on the lottery, not the major big prize but still sufficient for them to go on a holiday of a lifetime – to Vegas. It’s first class all the way, until Jeff is mistaken for a drug running member of an Australian rock band that the Mafia is working with, and the FBI is watching. The Mafia don’t realise their mistake, the Feds do, but when it comes to watching over Jeff, they fail miserably, and he’s in danger at the Grand Canyon with different factions trying to establish whose side he’s on.

When it’s all resolved, Prudence and Jeff are entered into the biggest money blackjack game that’s ever been seen off Strip. They have the stake money, but do they win? You’ll have to buy Hot Vegas to find out.

I enjoyed writing Hot Vegas so much, I decided to write another book with a ‘Hot’ title. The next one is called Hot Hits. This is because it features a beautiful blonde 28 year old contract hit woman who always gets her target. Roger, the hero, is a 21 year old hunk who lives in his parent’s small hotel by the seaside. Again, the story goes with the sex. The sex is with Roger, who starts off by fucking a cougar, but then starts going out with Sue, who is a trumpet player in a local silver band. Those lips have had so much practice with one instrument, she rehearses more with Roger’s. He doesn’t realise, but the band has been taken over by a gang involved in people smuggling, as well as Club Sadist. That is where people are tortured on stage for the paying audience to watch. And that’s where Roger ends up. On stage. In chains. Ready to be tortured. Yes, okay he’s saved, but by who? There’s a twist in the tale.

The next in the Hot series is Hot MILF. I’m currently writing this one, really enjoying getting into the plot and the sex.

‘Soft Lips’ Prudence checks her lottery ticket in bed, and the noise she makes takes Jeff ‘Sex Machine’s attention away from the soccer results. Fulham have drawn again. They celebrate by making love, and then it’s off to Las Vegas first class for the holiday of a lifetime. Luxury all the way. But Jeff is mistaken for an Australian mobster, as they make love in a hotel lift, and a private box in a theatre, and their own intimate pool, and….Pop stars, the Mafia, and the FBI are all involved as we tour the gambling capital of the world, culminating in the biggest black jack gambling tournament to be held off the famous Strip.

Hot Vegas is available from Amazon UK, Amazon US, All Romance eBooks, Barnes & Noble and all other good eBook retailers.

*****

I write under the name Harry Blue, because that’s what I write – Blue.

It’s all romantic, full blown, one on one sex, with a good story to go with the erotica. A hero, a heroine, danger, suspense, everything’s in my books, all starting with the word Hot.

The reality is that I am a happily married man in my mid 60s, one daughter, three grand daughters, living on the south coast, dealing in antiques and a sight-seeing guide when I am not writing erotic novels.

I have been writing for thirty years, mainly comedy, so you can find out a lot more about me on www.harrythewriter.com

First Line...

The opening line of a book is vitally important and so much fun to write. For me it is one of the first things that comes to my head when dreaming up a new story.

So I've decided to gather first lines from a whole load of wonderful books, all given to me by the lovely authors themselves - thank you!

These opening lines go through the whole range of ways in which to start a story - which are...

Dialogue - Throwing the reader straight into a conversation between characters.

Louisa May Alcott's Little Woman "Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents," grumbled Jo, lying on the rug.

Statement - A fact or authoritarian comment.

Tolstoy's Anna Karenina "All happy families resemble one another, but each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."

Setting - Description of the environment.

Arundhati Roy's God of Small Things "May in Ayemenem is a hot, brooding month."

In media res (latin for 'in the middle of things') - puts the reader immediately into the situation.

James Frey A Million Little Pieces "I wake to the drone of an airplane engine and the feeling of something warm dripping down my chin."

Here you go, a lovely selection of opening lines from the erotic romance genre and sent to me from all over the globe! If you're hooked and want to read more then just click on the covers.

Em Petrova -  One Fiery Night

The woman’s shriek reached Luke’s ears even above the roar of flames.

Nancy Adams - The Soul Within

The right honourable Brad Rhodes jumped at the knock on his office door.

K D Grace - The Pet Shop

‘You can’t be serious,’ O’Kelly said, nearly dropping the phone.

Gem Sivad - Pinch of Naughty

Cyrus Burke’s long strides carried him toward the house and the woman who sat waiting in the porch swing.

Elizabeth Lapthorne - Flirting with Danger

Skye Adams knew first-hand that life was never easy when your dad was the equivalent of James Bond.

Lucy Felthouse - Ditched

"This can't be fucking right!" said Lance Corporal Michael Scott, checking his map for the umpteenth time.

 Karen Stivali - Marry Me

"Marry me, Julia."

Lavinia Lewis - Mobsters and Miracles

I pulled and twisted and wriggled in the seat, but it didn’t matter how hard I tried—I couldn’t get my hands free from the damn ropes.

Christie Butler - Not Just a Fling

Charlotte Brody picked the wrong men.

Patricia Macias - Hot and Spicy

“What am I going to do?” Jose Enrique shouts at the four walls in the twentieth-floor executive office of the De La Cruz Inc. home office.

Lex Valentine - Rock My World

The throb of the Marshall stacks made her blood run hot and dampened her panties.

Natalie Dae

Don’t just slap me once, it’s not enough.

Eliza Lloyd - Wicked Temptation

Anne VanLandingham had committed the most unfashionable offense - she had fallen in love.

Victoria Blisse - Fulfil Me

"I lick my lips as I run my cursor over his body."

Tory Richards - Talk Dirty to Me

Damn, it was hot!

Kay Jaybee - Quick Kink Two

If I had been a newspaper journalist reporting on the wedding I would have used the headline, "The Bride Wore Rubber."

Lexie Bay - Taking Care of Business (from Smut in the City Anthology)

The whole “family” were celebrating with us tonight.

Savannah Chase - Taste of Passion (coming Dec 3rd 2012)

Suffocating smoke overpowered the small bakery kitchen.

Finally the first line of each of my Hot Ice novels.

Hired

My best friend Giselle is a call girl.

Cross-Checked

I'd admired him from afar for over two years now.

Slap Shot

"Is there an airport around here or is that my heart taking off?"

Teamwork (coming soon)

“Great, you must be the stand-in physio?” A young nurse stood before me, clutching a bag of saline, a drug chart and a handful of clear tubing.

High-Sticked (coming soon)

The wind hurtled down the Hudson, chilling my bones and stinging my cheeks.

I hoped you enjoyed all of these first lines. Leave a comment and let me know which is your favourite opener in any book, ever, not just the ones featured here, and I will pick a name at random at the end of the week to win a copy of Mattress Music - first line of which is...

Elton was killing me.

CROSS-CHECKED REVIEW

It seems a long time since the second in my HOT ICE series CROSS-CHECKED was published but that doesn't mean I don't get an absolute thrill when a great review comes in  :-)

Reviewed by Michele at RomFan Reviews

At a special photo shoot to raise money for a children's foundation, gold medal cyclist, Carly has a chance encounter with the star of her fantasies.

Brick, right-winger for the Orlando Vipers, is intrigued by Carly the moment he sees her at the rink.

She sets in motion a plan to make him want her as much as she does him. However, she never realized how difficult it would be to actually follow it through. In her quest to have Brick fall in love with her, she didn't anticipate his response to her games, but he is there when she needs him the most. Seriously injured while training on her bike, Carly's recovery is physical and emotional and Brick is with her every step of the way as her biggest fan.

Ms. Harlem created sinfully, irresistible characters in Brick and Carly, and as the story unfolds you can't help but love them more. It shows that underneath the public persona that athletes show, beat the hearts of real people with dreams and desires. Guess I will have to go and check out the other stories in this series.
