Weekend Writing Warriors #8Sunday

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors (WeWriWa). This is my first time joining in this meme and I'm kicking it off with 8 sentences from a FREE novel. Yes, that's right, Scored, my sexy soccer story is available as a free download on Amazon this weekend only and it's already flying high at #1 in the Free Erotic Fiction chart!

Here are 8 sentences from the first chapter as Nicky, a sports reporter following the England football team, is getting her knickers in a twist about being the only reporter at the press conference not being allowed to ask the team captain, Lewis Tate, her question...

“Hey, for crying out loud,” I bellowed. “I might be a female sports reporter but I still have as much right as all these guys to ask my question. What are you, a bunch of pig-headed sexists?” As I shouted out the last few words I was aware of the room becoming quiet.
No, more than quiet - utterly silent.
Lewis stopped, turned and settled his piercing gaze directly on me. His eyebrows hung low and his lips tightened.
My throat felt tight and my mouth dry. Had I really just called the captain of the England football team a sexist pig?
It seemed I had.

While you are perusing Amazon check out my latest sexy romance, Breathe You In. Like Scored it is being blessed with 5* reviews!

  2. Ah, yes, that moment when you have a fit and fall in it. Who hasn't had one? I've had them on a regular basis since the age of 55, which seems to have been my kiss my ass age. Even looks of disapproval, like the one described, don't affect me. But a girl should speak out when she's being dissed and the fact she did makes me like her quite a bit. Nice 8.

  3. Thanks for commenting Cara and India - this book was great to write, I am a mad footy fan and I loved writing about the private side of a famous football player.

  4. I love football, or soccer as we call it. Both my family and my husband's family are soccer fans. I even played it for several years. What I also love is a strong female who isn't afraid to say what she's thinking. This 8 made me giggle. So wish I knew what he was thinking. :)
