Feeling Lucky?

A big welcome to the Lucky in Love Blog Hop and happy St Patrick's Day.

1st Grand Prize: A $100 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
2nd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!

It's great that you're here and are you feeling lucky? Not just with the awesome prizes that are on offer but in the other department too, that's right, love...?

For many of us love comes along when we least expect it. Sometimes it's a bolt out of the blue, the connection of eyes across a crowded room or spotting the perfect denim clad butt strolling down the street! For others it grows slower, from friendship, getting to know the person first and then letting the love and lust bloom.

Whatever way it hits, you're definitely lucky to find love. Certainly that's the way I feel. I met my lovely Mr Harlem at work. I was nursing in a London hospital and he was a friend of a friend, we were introduced and then our paths kept crossing. It was like after we'd noticed each other there was a certain magnetism there.

After a while he asked me out for a drink. It was just the hospital social club but it worked for us, it was nice and relaxed and he was easy going. The next week we to see a film - I think it was one of the Lethal Weapon movies, not everso romantic but I had a thing for Mel Gibson at the time so it worked for me. Soon we'd got in the habit of spending more and more time together and I found myself looking forward to seeing him, it became the highlight of my week.

I did feel very lucky, because he seemed to feel the same way. Love had caught us in it's delicious trap and we we're happy to be captive.

Soon it worked out we had a week off together and he suggested a trip away to a sunny climate. Perfect to escape the grey drizzle that London had been swamped in. Needless to say we had a wonderful time, cocktails on the beach and long sultry nights. The perfect antidote to our high-paced jobs.

I don't think we were unusual to meet at work, that's how a lot of people get lucky. Certainly the nurse in my latest Harper Collins release gets incredibly lucky. Confessions of a Naughty Night Nurse is all about her sexy dark corner antics. She really is incorrigible, but I adored using memories and incidents from my nursing days as I wrote this story. It was so much fun and certainly full of late night shenanigans.

I guess you could call me a jack-of-all-trades nurse. I find work satisfaction in whichever department the hospital needs me most, as long as it’s through the darkest hours. Needless to say I’ve seen it all over the years, been there and done that, what’s left to shock me isn’t worth knowing. But it’s so often the quieter nighttime where the real high jinx abound.

Yes, the nocturnal life is the one for me. With a weakness for sexy guys wearing white coats and dangling stethoscopes, my fantasies are often realised and I’m adept at finding relief from the hospital grind in shadowy corners and cozy linen cupboards.

Of course my dedication to patient comfort is paramount. What kind of nurse would I be if it wasn’t? But when one act of extreme, albeit highly inappropriate, kindness forced me to become the hospital director’s snitch, the length I went to in order to keep my job satisfied my desires and found me the love that had always evaded me. A love that made me push even my not-so-professional boundaries to the extreme.

Confessions of a Naughty Night Nurse isn't my only book that sees couples getting together in the workplace. The hockey players in my Hot Ice series manage this too...

I'm going to give away a copy of Hired (ebook pdf) to one lucky winner who leaves a comment telling me which of my book covers is their favourite - check out the sidebar on the right. Don't forget to leave your email address in the comment box so I can send the prize if you win.

All my books are also available on Amazon US Amazon UK Kobo B&N, ARe, Sony, plus many more...

Thanks for stopping by and have fun hopping.
