Snowdonia Trip

Wales is such a beautiful country and never fails to make me fall a little bit more in love with her whenever we go exploring.

Last weekend Mr H and I took a trip to Snowdonia National Park. We stayed on a farm (I even got up early to help feed the lambs which was wonderful!) in the middle of the countryside. Buzzards swooped overhead, the sheep called constantly to one another and the gentle breeze blew down from the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

We were very lucky and got to experience so much. We had snow and mountains, sunshine and beach, a wonderful forest walk with waterfalls.

Here are a few pictures starting with the mountains...

Snowdon Mountain Range

Trekking up - not for the faint-hearted, it's sheer drop to the right of these makeshift steps.

Nearly there. Black Lake.

View from the top. Coast in the distance.

Back at base camp for a welcome bottle of Snowdon lager!

Beach! If you look close there is a castle in the distance jutting into Cardigan Bay.

My doggie enjoying the waves.

View from the kitchen window of our little holiday cottage.

There's always one!

Forest Walk.

Swallow Falls.

Glass of wine on the last night of our trip.

If ever you get the chance to visit Snowdonia National Park, I highly recommend it, there is so much to see. We can't wait to go back again :)

  1. It's a beautiful place. I've been there a couple of times when we stayed in Porthmadog and on Anglesey.
