Misconduct, book #6 Hot Ice - OUT TODAY!

Misconduct, book #6 in my Hot Ice series is out today from Ellora's Cave - please note these books do not need to be read in order to be enjoyed and are perfect as standalone reads.

Blurb

Manage the Vipers hockey team! Me? It seemed that was my role now. Shame a gorgeous, cocky-assed goaltender was testing my patience. Sweet cheeks, really, is that anyway to refer to your boss? Dustin “Speed” Reed certainly thought so.

It was okay, though, my billionaire father owned a paradise retreat for me to escape to, except, that is, until Dustin decided to jump on for the ride. Then the tension really heated up, hotter than the scorching midday sun.

I wanted to slap him and kiss him. Push him away and rip off his clothes. The feeling was mutual, anger a potent emotion when mixed with lust. I knew we shouldn’t. How could it end well? Especially when I was going give him the sack as soon as I pushed him out of it?

But where is the fun in having rules if no one ever breaks them? I for one, decided to take what I could, give what he wanted and worry about balancing the books tomorrow. My heart would be fine, wouldn’t it?

Also available from all other good ebook retailers, find Misconduct on my dedicated author pages.

Joy Ride Review

Fabulous new review for Joy Ride from Erotica For All!

Joy Ride is one of the books in the multi-author Spice Rack series from Ellora’s Cave. The Spice Rack is a sex toy with a twist – you open one of the pots of “spice” and inside is a piece of paper with a suggestion to spice up your sex life.

Joy Ride, by Lily Harlem, is the story of Kimberly and her husband, Nate. They’ve been married a while and have a young daughter, so they find quality alone time a struggle, and often resort to sex with the lights off, muffling their sounds in the duvet and pillows.

Deciding to act, Kimberly opens one of the jars and finds the instruction “love on the move.” Confused at first, Kimberly is disappointed with the spice rack and resolves to open a hotter one next time. But when the couple drop their daughter off with her grandparents for the weekend, an idea pops into Kimberly’s head, and she has to act on it, there and then. Naturally, Nate’s delighted, but the policeman that pulls them over is much less impressed. They’re arrested and thrown into the back of the policeman’s van to be transported to the station. The couple panic, wondering how the hell they’re going to explain this to whoever has to come and bail them out – and where they’re going to get the money to pay them back.

But it seems Nate’s libido has been well and truly awoken, and once again they engage in a very risky, yet sexy act. Can they get away with it this time, or are they just adding further misdemeanours to their rap sheet?

Joy Ride was a quick yet fun read. I loved the dynamic between the married couple who are still crazy for each other and prove it in spectacular style. This is a sensual, sexy book with delicious scenes of risky sex, written in Lily’s usual engaging, brilliant style.

Joy Ride can be bought individually…

Spice Rack Bundle - Out Today!

Spice Rack eBook Bundle
By Karen Stivali, Karen Booth and Lily Harlem

Out now, a bundle of three spicy books (two novels and my novella) to stir up your imaginative juices and heat up your ereader!

When word gets out about the Spice Rack, a new adult novelty item that’s guaranteed to spice up your love life, retailers an barely keep them on the shelves. Each jar holds a suggestion on how to add some zip in the bedroom. Or the kitchen. Or wherever passion strikes. Couples everywhere clamor to get their hands on a rack and see what happens. Whether they try one jar or try them all, one thing’s for sure – with the Spice Rack around, sex will never be bland again.

Book One Decadence by Karen Stivali

In eight years of marriage, Eric Carlson has never forgotten to kiss his wife Jessica goodbye—until this morning. As Jessica runs her errands, all she can think about is the missing kiss. When Eric calls to tell her he thinks he left the toaster oven on, she rushes home, annoyed and afraid their house may be burning down. Instead of smoke and flames she finds Eric, looking hot and sexy as hell as he prepares fresh waffles.

Eric knows he and Jessica have been drifting apart. He’s bought the hot new product everyone’s talking about—the Spice Rack, guaranteed to spice up your love life. The jar he opens advises them to “Spend a decadent day indulging all your senses.” With the whole day ahead of them, a fridge full of tempting treats and the house to themselves for a change, that’s exactly what Eric intends to do—in the kitchen, on the washing machine, wherever the mood strikes. And Jessica’s got a super-steamy surprise for him too.

Book Two Love Plus One by Karen Booth

Olivia and Brian once had a sex life worth bragging about, but after nine years of marriage, the sizzle has fizzled. Longing to reclaim their passionate past, Olivia purchases The Spice Rack, an adult novelty item “guaranteed to spice up your love life”. A zealous first round of play prompts Brian to read their cue for next time—share your deepest fantasy and ask your partner to fulfill it.

Brian whisks Olivia off to Manhattan to pursue the fantasy he’s never revealed—another man pleasuring her while he watches. Olivia never imagined her husband was concocting this scenario in his handsome head, nor that he’d choose Michael, their smoking-hot college friend, to help him out. Venturing into uncharted waters, Brian must contend with a heady mix of jealousy and arousal while Olivia surrenders to a man who’s fired up to have his chance with her. When three becomes two again, Brian’s only desire is to reclaim his stake on his wife, and Olivia can’t wait to give him everything that’s his.

Book Three Joy Ride by Lily Harlem

Kimberly is desperate—muffling gasps of pleasure under the covers is just not doing it for her. She loves and desires her husband, but she needs more.

Could the Spice Rack picked up at a girly, wine-infused party be the solution? Anticipation floods her body as she opens the first “task”. What the…? How is “love on the move” going to spice up her sex life? It’s impossible, or so she thinks, because when a sudden sinful idea pops into her head she has to act, much to Nate’s delight.

Until they’re spotted, pulled over, hauled out and cuffed, and not in fluffy pink. They’re in for it, but the glint in Nate’s eye tells Kimberly he’s finally got her exactly where he wants her. It might feel like hell, but before she knows it she’s catapulted to a heavenly place she’s been longing to revisit. As long as they can get away with it.

Sunday Snog

Phew, the weeks fly by and already it's time for another Sunday Snog. Tomorrow the Spice Rack Bundle hits the shelves and it has my story, Joy Ride in it, so today we're going to have a snippet featuring married couple Kimberly and Nate…

But first, what is the Spice Rack? Well, the Spice Rack is a new novelty adult toy that's guaranteed to spice up your love life. Each jar holds a suggestion on how to add some zip in the bedroom or kitchen or wherever passion strikes. It's fun and saucy and  whether the couples choose sweet, savory or spicy it certainly gets everyone's juices flowing!

So without further ado, here is a steamy moment from the beginning of Joy Ride. Kimberly and Nate's first Spice Rack jar revealed the task 'express your love on the move' though Kimberly has been wondering how she is going to meet her challenge…

“Thanks, I appreciate it, Mom.” Kimberly smiled and then walked over to Nate.
She rested her hand on his forearm. “We should go. We’ll miss the start of the movie.”
“Movie?” He creased his brow.
Kimberly scowled. How could he not be playing along?
“Ah yes, the movie.” Nate nodded quickly and stood. “Of course. Good to see you, Derek. I’ll hunt up the information on the old Chevy engine for you.”
“Thanks, Nate, I’d appreciate it,” Derek said, shaking Nate’s hand and then turning to Kimberly. “You kids go and have fun. Sophie will be just fine with us, don’t worry about a thing.”
“Thanks, Dad. See you tomorrow.” Kimberly gave her father a quick peck on the cheek and then steered Nate to the hallway.
“We were only supposed to stay for a minute,” she whispered as they put on their shoes.
“Sorry,” Nate mouthed and opened the door.
Once outside, he pulled her close as they walked to his car. “Sorry,” he said again. “It’s just your Dad has a friend who’s bought this old Chevy and he’s renovating it. He wants me to help out.”
“Well, that’s all very well, but this night is supposed to be about us, remember?”
Nate squeezed her close. “Of course I remember. How could I not?” He lowered his voice. “And just so you know, if Sophie hadn’t walked into the kitchen earlier, I may well have stripped you naked right in front of the sink, bent you over and had my wicked way with you.”
A shiver of delight zipped through Kimberly’s body, the longed-for sexy words as delectable as any caress. “Really?”
“Yes, really.” He stopped in the shadows by the car door and wrapped her in his arms. “This damn Spice Rack and the thought of what each jar might contain has got me feeling like a horny teenager.” He kissed her hard and fast. “We should get ourselves home ASAP and open another jar.”
“Just what I was thinking. And should we make it a seriously hot chili one this time?” She waggled her eyebrows suggestively and cupped his ass, hoping her father hadn’t decided to peek out the curtains.
He grinned and there was a roguish glint in his eyes, one that she hadn’t seen for a while. “I don’t care what it says in the jar, because you, baby, are going to get it good.”
“I am?” Oh, what a promise. Kimberly could barely control a delicious tremble of anticipation between her legs.
“Yep, with the bedroom lights on and no holding back your screams of pleasure. I’m going to remind you how we used to... Fuck.”
Kimberly slid her hands from his taut butt and fisted his sweater at his lower back. She couldn’t remember when she’d last heard Nate curse. But it didn’t offend her. Far from it. In fact it turned her on. Fuck. She loved that word. It should be in their lives more often. “Fuck,” she repeated.
He licked his lips. “Yes, we used to fuck like crazy. Do you remember on our honeymoon? We didn’t come out of the hotel room for three days. It was awesome.”
Kimberly nodded, remembering with wonderful clarity how they’d enjoyed each other’s bodies to the max. His stamina in the shower had been incredible and he’d eked out her first multiple orgasm. She’d woken him with a blow job, the best start to any day ever, he’d later said. They’d also conceived Sophie, a condom having split during a particularly strenuous doggy-style session on the balcony at three in the morning. “I remember,” she whispered against his lips. “It was awesome.”
“It was how we were most of the time.” He stroked his thumb over her cheek. “I still feel the same way about you, you know. I don’t show it so much. Can’t show it so much but that doesn’t mean...” His words trailed off.
“Doesn’t mean what?” She tipped her head and studied the way he nibbled at his bottom lip.
“That when you walk into a room I don’t imagine you naked. When you touch me, even just a hand on my arm, I don’t long for more, much more. Because I do. I miss the old us.”
Damn, so did Kimberly. How could they have let themselves get into this state?
“Not to say I’m not happy with how we are,” he said hurriedly. “I am. You’re the only one for me, you have to know that, not just for today, tomorrow, but forever.” He paused. “But we’re still young, in love and, if that kiss an hour ago is anything to go by, we’re still in lust.”
“Sure, we’re still in lust.” Squeezing a little tighter against him, she felt a hard package behind the fly of his jeans. “Nate! We’re at my parents’.”
He grinned and rubbed his pelvis against her, just a little, the tiniest amount. “I can’t help it. Just talking about fucking you has made me hard enough to hammer nails.”
Kimberly giggled. “Well, we’d best get you home so you can start hammering.”
He gave a snort of laughter. “Yeah, let’s ditch the movie.”
“There was never a movie.” Kimberly batted his arm and leapt into the car. The sooner they got home the sooner the fun would start. She could hardly wait.
Nate pulled away from the curb, his transition up the gears more rapid than usual. Kimberly glanced at his face. His jaw was set at a steely angle and his lips were pressed tight. As the amber glow of the streetlamps slid over his profile she could see his nostrils flaring as he breathed.
She squirmed on the seat, heat flooding between her legs. The need to have him above her, ramming into her, giving in to desire, was too much to bear. She could imagine it so clearly, what they would be doing the very minute they got home. Naked, sweaty, tearing at each other’s clothes—their hunt for satisfaction a wild frenzy as basic instincts took over every thought and movement. They may have to get the first one out of the way before they opened the second spice jar.
Kimberly pressed her legs together and continued to stare at her husband. His fingers gripped the wheel, his biceps tensing to bricks beneath his sweater, their outline clear. She let her gaze slip lower, to his groin. The lap belt cut across his waistband, bunching his top slightly. Beneath that there was a healthy bulge.
“Nate,” she said, sliding her hand onto his thigh. A truly sinful idea had just popped into her head. It would be the answer to their problem. But could she turn it into reality?
He tensed but kept his eyes on the road. “Yep?”
“You know that spice jar?”
“Yep.”
“How it said express your love on the move.”
“Yep.” He glanced across at her. His eyes narrowed briefly then he turned his attention back to the near empty highway that led to the outskirts of town.
“I have an idea.” Kimberly undid her belt and sidled into the middle section of the bench-style seat. “I think I know how we can fulfill the challenge before moving on to the next one.”
“Baby, there’s nowhere to stop around here without having the cops pull up within a few minutes.”
“I don’t want you to stop.” She slid her hand higher, up his thigh and onto the solid stretch of denim that was straining against his cock.
“Ah Jesus, careful, Kim.”
Kimberly ignored him and gave the impressive swelling in his groin a stroke and a squeeze.
“Shit, like I said, be careful. I haven’t been this hot for it in a while. I might just come in my pants.” He shifted on the seat.
“Ah, poor Nate.” She barely suppressed a giggle.
“Yes, poor Nate. These damn jeans—it’s getting pretty uncomfortable.” He scowled at her. “And you’re not helping.”
“But I think I can.” She licked her lips.
“Not for another twenty minutes you can’t, not ’til we get home.”
“But this is perfect. I have a way to express my love for you on the move. Right here, right now.” Carefully Kimberly eased the buttons on Nate’s fly free, releasing some of the pressure the wedge of flesh was causing.
“What the hell are you doing?” Again Nate flashed his attention her way, but just for a second. The road was long and straight but it was a fast route and known for deer wandering across the lanes. “Kim?”
“I’m going to suck you off, Nate. Now, while you’re driving us home.” Kimberly could hardly believe she’d said it. Such crass words didn’t usually fall from her lips. She was a wife and mother, the woman who worked part-time at the mall in an organic cosmetics shop. She’d just told her husband she was going to suck him off as he drove them home!

Saturday Spankings #SatSpanks

Welcome to Saturday Spankings, this week a few from my first novel at Ellora's Cave, SHARED.

Blurb

Struggling artist Ariane Arlington flees the Welsh valleys after exposing her corrupt boss. But when the sun rises she finds herself jobless and homeless in Cardiff city with barely a penny to her name.

She responds to an advert in the local paper—Room to let, wanted, girl to share. What she doesn’t realize is that the two insanely gorgeous guys who live in the penthouse apartment really do want a girl to share, in every sense of the word. Fortunately for Ariane, rent is the last thing on their minds.

She discovers the men are bound together by a turbulent past. Liam, a computer whiz, keeps a painful secret hidden beneath his buff exterior, whilst Quinn, a pioneering neurosurgeon, wonders if he’ll ever meet a woman who can live with his controlling ways. They admit the one thing missing from their lives is a woman just like Ariane, who can handle them both in and out of the bedroom and who, together, they can keep satisfied, loved and most of all, safe.

Spanking…

Another blow hit down. On my left buttock this time. I bit my lip, tears sprang in my eyes. But this time the pain, the burn, radiated outward and settled its intensity in my pussy. It was as though the heat, all those needles, were darting pleasure and stimulation to where I needed it most.
I found myself squirming, wanting more. I let out a groan of bemusement at the conflict between my physical and sensual being.
“You need to say anything?” Quinn asked from behind me. “You need to use any words, Ariane?”
“No, no,” I said, shaking my head against the pillow.
His hand slid down the crack of my butt cheeks and over my anus. I felt so hot, so wet, so supersensitive. He found my vagina and pushed in two fingers and began to fret away at my G-spot again.

Edge of Ecstasy by Elizabeth Lapthorne

Please welcome my great friend from down under, Elizabeth Lapthorne. She's brought her brand new Ellora's Cave release to show off, The Edge of Ecstasy, book #7 in her Urban Seductions Series (all can be enjoyed as individual reads) - wow - happy days! Take it away Elizabeth...

Good Guys Who Are Bad

Is it just me, or is there nothing sexier than a good guy who can act bad?

I mean really, it can’t just be me who has a shelf at home full of books who have Bad Boys returning home after time away. While they regularly still have their leather jackets and motorcycle, they’re now decent men who the heroine can turn to for help.  For me, it’s often heroes who have spent time in the army or other military area, something that gives them discipline and opens their eyes to the greater world out there. But still, it’s a theme I find myself drawn to read in various forms over and over.

Also nowadays, the old-school heroine who needs rescuing (while I find she still sometimes has her place in my fiction reading) for the most part is outdated. I want a heroine who might need help, but she can certainly hold up her own end and not just stand there helplessly watching. Back in Seductive Tracks I introduced Melissa Geyton with complete innocence. My heroine in Seductive Tracks needed an outside source, a connection, and Melissa popped into my head and I used her readily. Little did I know how complicated a character she was. I was also surprised at just how loudly she started talking to me and how very stubborn and determined she was.

Needless to say, here I am, two books later writing about her.

Daniel is one of those strong, silent types. Don’t be fooled – we all know a man like him. Cliched as it is, he truly is one of those men who mightn’t say a lot, but when he opens that mouth and something comes out *everyone* stops to listen. Ignoring him is at your own peril. As Assassins, neither Melissa nor Daniel are sweet, innocent characters, both have their fair share of problems, history and baggage. But what I really love about them is each have managed to make their own rules, to find their own path in the world they find themselves in, and while it might appear each of them conforms, they do so on their own terms.

Nothing is sexier to me than a Bad Boy who can come good, be strong and edgy, but still find love in his heart. Daniel does this to a tee, and Melissa is no wimp, waiting idly by for him to come rescue her. I found these two characters to be wonderfully matched and hope you all do too!

Edge of Ecstasy is out now so check out their story for yourselves. And as always, thank you to the Lovely Lily for letting me commandeer her blog for a day.

The Glass Knot Hits the Charts!

I'm thrilled that The Glass Knot has hit the Amazon UK genre charts, fingers crossed it keeps going up because I adore Nick, Josh and Laura and their steamy threesome story!

Blurb

What’s a girl to do when the guy she falls for is married to another man?

This is exactly what happened to me. Seeing Josh Kendal stroll out of the Mediterranean Sea wearing tight navy swim trunks and looking like a hot new James Bond was a truly delicious moment. Catching sight of his wedding ring was like a kick in the shin and meeting his gorgeous husband, phew, that was enough to make any girl groan at the cruel joke God was playing on her.

But all was not as it seemed, and when Josh needed a woman to sort out a ‘delicate predicament’ I was the one for the job – heck, what did I have to lose? Certainly not as much as him, literally.

Trouble is, emotions always get tangled, loyalties can’t help but be divided and with a night of memories so hot they'd have the devil sweating, there was only one thing for it—it was time to get honest, fight for what I wanted despite society’s constraints and open my heart to the people it needed most.

Special Guest - Victoria Blisse

Please welcome my friend and fellow Brit Babe Victoria Blisse to my blog today with her new release Satisfying Desires. Take it away, Victoria...

Admitting Weakness

Hi Lily, thanks for inviting me today.

People are self-sufficient these days. Women especially are encourage to be strong and independent and although this empowerment is fantastic I do think it makes it harder for people to ask for help when it’s needed. We’re all weak at some point or other, it is the nature of being human. Sometimes we need to admit it and accept help to get back to being the strong, independent people we are.

Satisfying Desires explores this theme with single woman Paula who has many acquaintances in her office at work but when she breaks her wrist she finds herself isolated in her flat with no one to help. She struggles to keep going on her own but she won’t ask for the help she very obviously needs.

After days of being in her tiny home she overcomes the struggles of getting dressed with a useless arm and goes out for a walk. Her rumbling tummy pulls her towards a café and the very handsome café owner recognises Sally’s needs and sets about satisfying them.
I’m not suggesting every woman needs a man to be whole, that isn’t what I want readers to take away from this short story, also featured in the Whip it Up Anthology. No, I want it to be empowering for women.  Admitting weakness and getting the help you need is far better than struggling on alone with the idea that saying you can’t cope on your own labels you in some way.

I hope readers realise we all need a helping hand now and then and it isn’t a bad thing to ask for aid. In fact, if you’re lucky you might get a handsome hunk like Lucas rush to your aid. Now, that’s a definite advantage!

Blurb:

Sally has a broken wrist and is struggling to cope with being off work and home alone. She’s eaten nothing but soup in days and is sick to death of daytime TV. She goes for a walk but is distracted by the delicious smells coming from the local café.

The tall and tanned Greek chef, Lucas, wants to look after Sally…and not just by feeding her with his delicious fried foods. He invites her back to enjoy a meal with him alone that night once the café is closed.

His special brand of optimism and dominance has Sally bending to his will and begging him for more. Their less than innocent evening meal is finished off by a trip to the bedroom with a pot of chocolate spread because, as Lucas says, the only thing better than a hot naked woman is a hot naked woman covered in chocolate!

Excerpt:

Lucas threw my coat over a table as he walked in. Coming back to the here and now, I became aware of the mouth-watering scents.
“Oh, it smells delicious in here.”
“Thank you.” He smiled. “I’ve made you my favourite meal, moussaka, it reminds me of my mum.”
“Ah, so you do have some exotic heritage then.”
He nodded and turned to the oven.
“Yes, my mum was Greek. She moved here when I was a little kid. So not that exotic.”
He picked up a plastic spatula and pushed some carrots around in a frying pan.
“You have a distinctive twang to your accent,” I said. “I wondered what it was.”
“So you, where are you from?”
“Lived here all my life,” I responded, watching him confidently shake a pan of asparagus. “Rather boring really.”
“No, no.” He shook his spatula at me as he spoke and was so vehement in its stabbing movement that it slipped from his fingers and clattered to the floor. “You are not boring and you should not be so quick to put yourself down.”
He bent to pick up the implement and threw it into the sink.
“Sorry,” I apologised. “It’s a bad habit.”
“Very bad,” he said. “You should never give people opportunity to say bad things about you, should never think it in your mind. That is my key to happiness. You are the best you there will ever be, so be proud of that.”
I nodded.
“Could you open the drawer beside you and pass me a clean spatula and a wooden spoon?”
“Sure.” I turned slightly to the side and looked questioningly at him. He nodded as I pulled at the handle closest to me. I dug out a spoon and a flat, wooden spatula then passed them both over.
He put the spatula onto the side and used the spoon to stir the veg, then he turned the heat off under them.
“Okay, so, I think you need to learn a lesson.”
“What lesson?” I felt the pressure of my blood rushing around rising in my ears.
“To respect yourself and to not make me so angry I drop my cooking implement.”
I dropped my gaze and looked at my toes.
“What do you think, Sally, do you need a lesson?”
I nodded. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next but I was curious enough to find out.
“Look at me.”
I lifted my head again and met his piercing stare.
“Do you deserve to be punished?” he asked.
I gulped. The time had come. We were at the point where the dynamics flipped. I either handed him complete control or I didn’t. I could live out a favourite fantasy or I could chicken out and maybe lose Lucas in the process.
“Yes,” I gasped, mouth dry, body numb, heart racing.
He nodded and walked towards me. “Correct answer. Now turn and lean over the counter, please.”
